Abstract

Modern business ecosystems need microservices instead of monolithic systems for scalability, agility, and maintainability. This transformation impacts compliance, data governance, operational resilience, and architectural integrity in highly regulated sectors including banking, telecommunications, and healthcare. This project addresses architectural refactoring and systematic design frameworks for domain-aligned microservices from monolithic apps with severe regulatory and security constraints. The study suggests gradual modernization using domain-driven deconstruction, API contract standardization, containerization, orchestration, and CI/CD automation. Reviewing governance frameworks for compliance continuity and service-level observability throughout transformation.
